Registered Nurse- Imaging Observation

We have an opening for a Registered Nurse – Imaging Observation to join our team!


-Performs a focused nursing assessment, as appropriate, pre- and post-Imaging scans/procedures

-Properly reviews patient allergies and consult with Charge RN and/or Radiologist regarding any concerns (i.e. history of contrast allergy, or identified as higher risk for contrast reaction per SCCA policy)

-Successfully initiates peripheral intravenous access according to SCCA policy and procedure

-Successfully identifies and manages the care of central lines(including accessing of Implanted Vascular Access Ports) according to SCCA policy and procedure

-Demonstrates knowledge of patient preparation for various Imaging scans, including MRI, CT, Nuclear Medicine, and PET scans

-Draws blood for laboratory tests according to SCCA policy and procedure

-Demonstrates knowledge of proper labeling of specimens and management of research specimens

Must Have’s:

-Registered Nurse license in Washington State

-2 years experience in an acute-care or similar out-patient setting

-Current CPR card

-Recent experience in peripheral venous access


-ACLS Certification

-Radiology Nursing experience

-Oncology nursing experience
