CNC Programmers (prototype parts)

Ideal candidates would be:

  • Proficient with 5 axis machines

  • Strong Mastercam X 2019 experience

  • Excellent with either lathe or mill and experienced with the other

  • Strong GDT and machine shop math skills

  • Experienced building tight tolerance parts

 

Shifts: Swing and weekend shifts to start

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Development of machining strategy to take design data and produce machined hardware

• Create part programs for multi-axis mills & lathes and VTL’s.

• Concept manufacturing plans for part builds

• Develop part programs

• Design custom tools and fixtures as needed

• Develop setup sheets

• Communicate with designers and machinists

• Produce design for manufacture feedback

• Make-buy decision support + machine time estimates

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Minimum of 10 years of experience in NC Programming

• Excellent blueprint reading skills including GD&T per ASME Y14.5M-1994 standard

• Must have Stainless Steel and Aluminum experience

• Tool fixture design

• Set-up sheet creation

• Cutter selection and when needed cutter design

• Design for manufacturing experience

• Excellent Communication

• Fluent in use of precision hand tools and familiar with use of personal computers

• Self motivated to prioritize work to meet project completion dates

• Must be US persons.

 

DESIRED:

• MasterCam X8 or higher experience preferred

• Nickel based alloys, copper, Ti exp

• Vericut or other program verification software experience

• Setup and operate CNC machines
